Our coaching is run by senior members of the club and alumni. Our training schedule is released termly to help students accommodate training with their studies. We usually have water sessions early morning before classes or on the weekends, and our erg sessions are usually done in the evenings after classes have finished. Any other training such as UT2 or S&C are usually done around your schedule with guidance from our coaches!

Our facilities are split between the Somerset Maugham Boat House on the River Stour and the University Sports Centre and Dance Studios. We currently are a sweeping club mainly training in +4s and pairs, however there is opportunity to scull and we are looking to further expand this!

Our development rowing squad is the perfect place to learn the fundamentals of rowing and take your skills to the next level. This program is designed for novices and those with some experience who are ready to transition from recreational rowing to competitive training. Under the guidance of our experienced coaches, you'll master essential techniques, build endurance, and gain an understanding of race strategy. It’s an ideal stepping stone for anyone with the ambition to eventually join our competitive squad.
Our land training squad offers a fun and low-pressure environment for anyone who wants to enjoy the sport of rowing. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced rower looking for a more relaxed setting, our program is the perfect way to stay active, learn new skills, and connect with fellow students. We focus on building a supportive community and enjoying time in the gym, with regular sessions and social events throughout the year.
