‼️RACE REPORT‼️
Sudbury Regatta - our clubs first time there, sending 3 athletes across 3 categories:
-Op 1x Novice
The man himself @aaron.bird101 was in the final in his first race in a single! He was unlucky in his last race, taking second place in the category.
-Op 1x Challenger
No surprises here. @charlie.forster.04, ex senior captain turned club director raced 2 very close races against fantastic opponents making for some exciting racing and close finishes. In the end he walked away with the Sudbury Shield, winning the category.
-Op 2- Challenger
Oooh a pair with @matt_the_willis & @charlie.forster.04, president and director of Kent Rowing. This has to be good right? Wrong. After coming ahead 3 lengths at the 200 metre mark, they found some very nice looking reeds and decided to investigate. Following their foliage exploration, the other crew managed to pull ahead and the 2- was knocked out.
A huge thank you to @spitfirerowing being instrumental in getting our club to Sudbury.
